We believe that each one has the potential to be a leader and an inventor. With this trust Annasaheb Waghire Science Arts, and Commerce College, was established in 1970 at Otur. It is located on a 24.5 acres of lush and green land with sufficuent infrastructure facilities. The college ever since it's inception has shown growth in academic excellence and provides resourceful manpower to the society. The college stands equipped with the best academic facilities accompanied with co- academic and co-curricular activities. With the academic and practical excellence, the college is constantly imparting education from first year Junior College to Postgraduate level with Arts, Commerce and Science streams. Besides, skill based education courses are also offered in the areas of Electricity, Automobile and Horticulture under M.C.V.C. to cater the technical and self-employment need of the students.

The mission of the parent organization i.e. Pune District Education Association (The trust under the aegis of which this college is run) is "Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhay" which translates as "Welfare and happiness for the masses". The mission of this college is an extension of the mission of the trust and is "Welfare and happiness of the masses through higher education". The mission we are accomplishing to uplift the under privileged, backward, tribal and deprived sections of this region through higher education.
